Designed and delivered developmental experiences that enhanced the organizational culture, climate for change, and methods of conflict resolution. Prepared proposals scooping large-scale custom interventions. Delivered custom training and maintained appropriate follow-up programs.
Executive Coaching
Provided one-on-one coaching to middle, senior, and executive-level managers utilizing self, organizational and psychological assessment instruments and surveys. Assisted leaders/managers with their individual design for their personal & career development plans.
Team Development
Consultant to Safety Sensitive Workplaces
Created Safenet™ … a work team approach focused on the reduction of unsafe behavior in high risk plant situations. (Esso Chemical, Exxon Chemical) Safenet™ resulted in an 80% reduction of the reported safety issues at sites where implemented. Facilitated leadership and team development for the senior security team for the Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory.
Developer of Labor-Management Teams
Designed, developed and negotiated labor-management policy, systems and roles for intervention with impaired employees. This resulted in the establishment of joint labor-management recovery teams between the UAW and Ford, and Kelsey Hayes at all their work sites.
Executive Team Building
Designed and facilitated executive team development sessions for petro-chemical, defense, construction, financial, pharmaceutical and health care industries. Significantly increased their alignment around strategy, agility, connectiveness, communication, focused activity, and performance as a group. (Exxon Chemical, Comerica Bank, United Defense, International Paper-Forest Division, National Wildlife Federation)
Organizational Change
Creator and Developer of Breakthrough Resilience Training
Designed and delivered Navigating ChangeTM and Leading ChangeTM seminars for the employees and leaders of organizations going through dramatic organizational change. This design focused on the appropriate handling of complex human factor and organizational issues that surface during change. (Amoco, Mobil Oil, British Petroleum Exploration, Chicago Bank, J.C.Penny, Petro-Canada, Exxon)
Consultant to Senior Operational Teams
Provided consultation and development of senior change management teams for Exxon USA, and Exxon Chemical during the sale of the refinery and for the General Motors Elyria plant at the time of its closure. These efforts extended for over a year each. Substantial risk of violence was contained in both situations. Re-deployed employees were successfully merged into new work cultures.

Coordinated professional multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of group interventions for companies going through critical organizational change throughout North & South America, and Europe.
Employee Assistance
Developer of Large Systems
Implemented a systemic approach to employees/dependents experiencing job or health problems related to emotional or family distress, alcohol or drug misuse for Exxon, Ford, and the Kelsey Hayes Company. Implemented training efforts on the management of complex medical/behavioral issues for medical, supervisor, union and management personnel. Assessed risk of organizational sites for violence, and counseled local leadership in the creation of work cultures that avoid high risk behaviors.
Evaluator of Cost Benefits
Co-designed & conducted cost benefit studies with the finance staff of Ford to determine program outcomes. Studies documented significant reduction of costs related absenteeism, health care, workers compensation and grievance process in all studies. Documented a $6/1 ratio of return for comprehesive EAP efforts. These studies resulted in the funding of a multi-million dollar effort to address these issues.
Direct Supervisor
Provided functional supervision for all EAP professional staff; provided consultation and stewardship of the employee assistance efforts in worldwide affiliates of Kelsey Hayes, Ford and Exxon.
Public Speaking
Delivered a wide variety of public speaking engagements for diverse audiences. Topics covered: personal growth, group synergy, creating connectedness with others, and resiliency in times of change.
