Monthly Message

As we journey well into fall, I have been feeling so full of the joy of the changing seasons and the briskness in the air.   So invigorating.   Are you enjoying the Autumn ‘colors’?  This is the time of the ‘West’ in the medicine wheel.  The time of awakening your inner shaman, awakening your vision.  How wonderful it is to be alive and enjoy the beauty of nature now.

In my meditations lately, I have been listening deeply.  I am sensing the need for creating a way for people to go deeper …  so we can, as the poem says above, give our love away.  To therefore fully awaken the Sacred Server, Enlightened leader teacher we were all born to be.  Yet before I share what I have been envisioning, what does it mean to take on this gift of responsibility?  To truly give?  To truly awaken and lead others with sacredness and heart? 

Below, is a message from the Hopi elders,  written from the time we were entering the new millennium Y2K. Still true, and maybe more so today.  I share this often because it is one of those works that needs to be pondered repeatedly to integrate its full meaning.  Reading this will stir something in you.  What is it?  What will you do with it?   For me, what I get is what my elders always told me….now is the time.  If you have joined me along the path of community, you are a shaman most high ready to fly to new heights in who you are and “creating an environment where people can blossom to transform our world”.  I often say, after I facilitate a program, that I now pass the torch to you, to us.  Now is truly the time to let your light shine brighter than ever before and inspire and teach all around you.  This is what it means to walk the path.  For this month’s message, read the Hopi message, ponder it, and reflect on it… what does it mean?  What is wanting to come forth inside you?  Please share with me (via email) and those close to you what you come up with.  

My bet is the next level of your service is stalking you.  I sense being an Enlightened leader teacher is who you are.   The elders are calling us all to step up.   What will you do with this call?   Will you make filling up and flow out a sacred part of your daily life?

To do my part, here is my vision.  I have decided to start a pathway, a certification program for those deeply committed to learning and teaching the Enlightened Leadership Way (The Way of the Corporate Shaman).  The process will be 1.5 years long starting December 1 and will require learning and teaching activities based on the WCS book. While I am still thinking through all the details, the activities will likely include:  being on each monthly CCall, attending three retreats, having five ‘one on one’ sessions with me (Bill), giving two sessions with two journeys, going on one vision quest, sharing an ongoing act of service (ie: be a leader in your community), an oral and written exam, coaching and developing five other people, etc... 

Like any journey, it is a stretch.  And isn’t that where the juice of life is?  When it is over you will be quite a different person, which is more important than a piece of paper that says thoueth are a certified coach of Enlightened Leadership/Corporate Shamanism.  You will be who you truly came here to be.  Write me to begin exploring if the journey of certification is right for you.  Choose wisely.  This is your life and we are the one we have been waiting for!

So, remember to fill up (prayer, meditation, ritual, nature:  earth, air, fire, water) and flow out (serve deeply, inspire, make a difference, influence), talk to you on the monthly call (and see you at the retreat in November -  two spots left!), and have a blessed month!

A Message from the Hopi Elders-

You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now

you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there

are things to be considered...

Where are you living?

What are you doing?

What are your relationships?

Are you in right relation?

Where is your water?

Know your garden.

It is time to speak your Truth.

Create your community.

Be good to each other.

And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is

so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will

try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart

and will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of

the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open,

and our heads above the water.

See who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we

are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment

that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All

that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we've been waiting for.
